ROBERTO FOGEL, MD, specializes in Gastroenterology. Fogel was Founder and President of the Latin American Society of Endosonography (2000-2002). Member of the American International Society of Gastroenterology since 1994. Fogel has six medical patents, one of which is an endoscopic suture that will be approved by the FDA in the coming months. Fogel received his medical training in Venezuela and is currently Associate Professor of Internal Medicine of Florida International University.

MAURICIO COHEN, MD is board certified in the states of Florida and North Carolina. He currently serves as Associate Professor of Medicine at University of Miami – Miller School of Medicine Cardiovascular Division, Department of Medicine. He is also Attending Physician at Jackson Memorial Hospital. Cohen is also Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory of University of Miami Hospital. Cohen is an active member of the National Hispanic Cardiologists Leadership Network (NHCLN) – (International Efforts Workgroup) and the American College of Cardiology.

DIDIER DE CANNIERE, MD has been a pioneer in robotic surgery and has developed one of the largest worldwide programs of fully closed chest surgery on the beating heart (coronaries) and on the arrested heart (mitral repair, biventricular resynchronization). He is Professor of Cardiac Surgery and Chief of the departments of Cardiac Surgery at Erasme Academic Hospital and Tivoli University Hospital at Brussels Free University (ULB Belgium), and visiting professor of cardiac surgery at Paris University. Past member of the board of directors of the International society of minimally invasive cardiac surgery (ISMICS) and currently advisor to the board of the European Society of Cardio-Vascular Surgery (ESCVS) and Co-director of the European Course for Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery (ECMICS) endorsed by the ESCVS. He is a consultant for Medtronic Inc. Served as an expert for the FDA American Robotics Program in Cardiac Surgery. At 48 he currently focuses on the integration of high technologies in the O.R.

MANUEL VIAMONTE, JR., MD received his medical training at the University of Havana, Cuba and is he is Board Certified in Diagnostic Radiology. Professor of Radiology of University of Miami School of Medicine and of the Florida International University. Some of the most relevant jobs responsibilities of Dr. Viamonte’s extensive, awarded and illustrious career include Chairman of the Department of Radiology of the University of Miami School of Medicine, Director of the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program of the University of Miami School of Medicine, Director of the Department of Radiology of Mount Sinai Medical Center/Miami Heart Inst, Director of the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program, Mount Sinai Medical Center/Miami Heart Inst, among others. Dr. Viamonte currently serves as Associate Dean for International Affairs of Florida International University.
LEON LAPCO, MD. His experience and specialization has been in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. Dr. Lapco received his medical training in Venezuela and United States. Has authored numerous specialized medical papers and has extensive experience in kidney biopsies, hypertension treatment and non dialytic kidney failure. He served as Director of Autotransfusion Professionals, Inc. from 2004 to 2008 and currently serves as President of VAMA (Venezuelan-American Medical Association).
